The Central Park Project
A 3-year project, and a labor of love……
Central Park is a special place where you can walk or run along its lamppost-lit paths, sit on benches and read, people watch, and marvel at the beauty of its trees and lakes.
The iconic Bow Bridge, with its cast-iron structure and beautiful views of the water, provides an excellent focal point. Early morning light casts soft reflections on the lake's surface, enhancing the peaceful atmosphere. A large print of this image was featured on the wall of New York City’s Gracie Mansion in 2024.
The images in this project were made in black and white to show how light, shadow and form can tell a story about a location. Special processes were used to evoke a moody, even contemplative view of the park.
The images from this project are in the coffee-table publication, entitled “New York Light & Shadow” - published in 2021. The book is sold-out, but prints of the images are available.
