“New York Light & Shadow”

2020 - 2021, during the pandemic: It was not a time when it was easy to be inspired. But it was a time to create a fine art photography book . I wanted to publidh my work for many years. and after many exhibits of my New York portfolio, I had my subject.

After months of planning, image selection and making the book in Adobe InDesign, I sent to Edition One, a wonderful printer and book-maker in California.

The publication was a success on a number of levels. I took creativity to select the order and layout of images and including being sold out in bookstores, galleries and notably the oldest and highly regarded Photo-Eye photography bookseller.

“…… imagine the streets without too many people, subways without sounds, relaxing on a park bench, reading under a sprawling tree, watching passers-by at a coffee shop or the quiet when contemplating art in a museum. The images in this book suggest that there is a timeless beauty, even an ethereal or dreamlike quality to these locations if we let ourselves experience it. I have included photographs from my limited-edition Central Park Series and of other locations made in the same style.”
